Black Lines Black Snow

Last night/this morning it snowed locally, unusually heavily enough to leave a substantial covering. Perhaps the most interesting aesthetic consequence of this occurred at the roadside, where the tyres of the passing vehicular traffic ploughing-through dirtied the snow, blackening it in a manner that perfectly complemented my favourite double black lines (see previous posts 1, 2) & adding another significant textural, mostly close-toned, compositional element to the pictures of them, to which, then, more snow falling during the photographing process contributed a further interesting, diagonal dynamic: these images just get more inspirationally ‘painterly’ each time.
