Completed Panini Sticker Album of the Day #2: 'Euro 2012'

A second concerted period of sticking-as-process-art has led to the completion of another Panini album, this time the previously-mentioned ‘Euro 2012’ collection.
For all that it’s good to be in possession of the completed album, as a visual record of its time, there’s something not quite as satisfying about the appearance of modern football(ers), somehow - it’s all a bit too homogeneous & airbrushed in comparison with earlier periods, particularly our beloved 1970s, of course.

Anyway, here’s a reminder of how things looked before the found album & recently-purchased complete set of stickers were joined together, followed by a sample of the finished pages, from a survey of the Polish & Ukrainian cities & stadia that played host to the tournament’s matches, through the portraits of the squads of players representing the competing nations, to an historical gallery of the previous European Championships’ winning teams.
