The latest in the current series of small-format oil paintings, processed for the most part in one session, sees a return to the whitewashed model pears as subject/object matter.
A certain amount of textural underpainting was performed in acrylic, with such texture relating to the grid-form of the brick- & mortar-work beneath the sheet of white paper that serves as the background to the still life composition upon the white melamine shelf as it exists in actual space & is represented from observation
