What It Says on the Tin...

From subject/object matter found before everywhere became blanketed in snow, this latest example of flattened 'Readymade Cubism' to be processed as drawing (an activity enabled by this week's 'snow days' absence from the day job) returns to the sub-theme of the inclusion of named colours (being in this instance a synechdochal fragment of the product's brand name, of course) within & amongst the contents of the picture plane, in the manner of Jasper Johns, as, obviously (& also as has become habitually), is the mark-making of the ground...

graphite & putty eraser, with watercolour/30x20cm

Soundtrack:

Test Match Special S Africa v Eng 3rd Test, day 5
Ladytron 'Light & Magic'
Hanne Hukkelberg 'Rykestrasse 68'
Jesca Hoop 'Kismet'
Moon Wiring Club 'An Audience of Art Deco Eyes'
The Chasms 'vs. Dandelion Radio'
EP

Quite a sonic journey from beginning to end of this particular soundtrack, including another successful act of brinkmanship by England's last wicket batting pair in the saving of the Test Match (it really is becoming a habit), & surprising, intriguing correspondences noticed between Moon Wiring Club & The Chasms, not least in the form of the latter's strange northern tales of 'Lonesome Mercury' & 'Santa's Little Sleighride' contained within the exhilarating noise, & also a little remixing in electronic form.
